Reader funded and condition free. No donor sees a finding before it publishes.
The processor takes the payment, not this site
Not yet open
The donations page is not open yet. When the hosted processor is live this link goes to it, and the ledger below fills from the first disbursement.
Payment is handled entirely by the processor on its own pages. This site stores no card, no bank detail and no donor record.
What it pays for
- Records fees and copy charges
- Every ledger on this site was paid for line by line. Some jurisdictions produce for nothing. Some quote hundreds of dollars for a print of one account.
- Contesting a refusal
- A refusal is the cheapest way to end an audit. Contesting one costs filing fees and time. Money here keeps a refusal from being the end of the story.
- Document hosting and delivery
- Every document is stored twice, as produced and as text, hashed, and served behind a cache. Bandwidth is the cost that grows with readers.
- The jurisdictions still outstanding
- The same comparison has to be run for every town that has not yet produced a ledger, and after New Jersey, for the next state.
What the money bought
No disbursements yet
Nothing has been received and nothing has been spent, so this ledger is empty. It fills on the first disbursement and is published the same way every other figure on this site is published.
Funding sources above a stated threshold are disclosed on the About page each year. A project that grades other people on their accounting has to publish its own.
