Township Resolution 23-296, adopted 12/05/2023, directs the Chief Financial Officer to effectuate the transfer of received and future Opioid Settlement funds to the County of Bergen.
The Township paid the County of Bergen 16,097.36 on purchase order 24-00720, check 92583, on 05/21/2024. That figure equals the eight receipts of 08/16/2022 to 11/10/2023 on the Township receipts schedule, 6,096.23 in 2022 and 10,001.13 in 2023. By the day of the check the Township had received 34,131.48. No later transfer appears on the 2024, 2025 or 2026 appropriation. The 23 receipts from 05/06/2024 to 05/04/2026, 45,140.25, stayed with the Township. The FY2024 and FY2025 reports give the goal as transferring settlement funds to the county and state the same 16,097.36 as transferred. The FY2026 report states 0.00 transferred in the year, 45,713.83 on hand and nothing spent, and gives the goal as continuing to assess how to use the funds. The record does not say why the transfers stopped.

The books held 21,260.00 on 06/30/2024. The 7,246.56 difference is four receipts of 07/31/2024, after the reporting period closed: 3,910.76, 1,002.14, 1,179.36 and 1,154.30. The FY2025 report counts the same four receipts again as FY2025 money at Q1. The FY2024 balance does not follow from the FY2024 report's own figures.
